Here you’ll discover resources that we’ve found helpful in our home education adventures. There are books, websites, channels, etc. When beginning to homeschool, you quickly find there are many approaches and philosophies, and in fact, you may discover that your family’s approach changes over time, too. Some words to describe our family’s current approach are:
Secular
Inclusive
Child-led
Eclectic
Unschooling-ish
As you can see, we don’t have a specific philosophy or curriculum that we follow. Our approach is not for everyone, and as a former public school teacher who grew up in public schools and had my oldest in public school for his first five years, it’s still a process for me to embrace my children’s individual needs and learning interests rather than get wrapped up in standards and traditions.
And so with that said, here are some of the resources and people that guide our home education journey. This list will be updated as we found new resources that work for us, and I hope others find these useful as well.
